Aug 22 - 28, 2011

Hi everyone!!  How are you?  It's been a very fun week.  Mommy's friend, Miss Megan, visited us.  But, before she came, we went out for a rare sushi night.  Unfortunately, I didn't nap that day so mommy and daddy ate really fast and then we left.  But, I did drive us all home.  "Mommy, are you coming or what?"

I had put up some videos of me talking last week, so daddy filmed me some more.  This time, I'm reading one of my soft books.  

But, after a while, I just want daddy to give me his phone.  Gimme gimme gimme!!

I also like climbing and standing on everything.  I found mommy's shelf of nice things.  I don't think she's so happy I found it.

Well, like I said, Miss Megan came and visited.  My doggies know and love Miss Megan, but in order for me to play, daddy put up the gate.  Otherwise, the doggies will run over to Miss Megan and then she can't play with me.  So, I thought I'd tease them a little through the gate. 
"I am SOOOO BIG!!"

I want to have some of Miss Megan's drink.  I don't know what it is, though.  It's so dark!!

We went to the park over the weekend.  I don't like stepping on top of the grass, but mommy made me do it anyway.  I'm just glad I had Miss Megan there to play with me.  I also LOVE chewing on her phone!

11 Months Old!! Aug 8 - 21, 2011

Hi everyone!!  Yup, I'm 11 months old!!  Mommy and daddy says time is flying by so quick.  I guess so.  I'm not really sure I know what they mean by that.  Anyway, I'm sorry I forgot to blog last week.  I really had a very quiet weekend.  I did go to the Ventura County Fair.  Mommy said last year, I was still in her belly when they went to the fair.  I guess I had a fun time.  It was definitely sunny out there.

Other than that, I really didn't do anything too exciting.  Last time, I showed everyone that I could hold my own sippy cup.  But, this time, I impressed mommy when I held my own bottle in the car.  As long as it's not too full, I can hold it on my own.  I think I'm getting used to this drinking thing.

Besides drinking on my own, I also like reading books, especially with daddy.  We like reading to each other, but I'm not too sure I understand what he's saying.  I think he just makes a bunch of noises.  What do you think?

I'm also beginning to stand up and balance on my own without holding onto anything.  As long as I don't have to move too much, I can pretty much keep my balance and remain standing.  

But, most of the time, I much rather talk to daddy and crawl over to him.

Oh, I almost forgot.  Uncle Eric and Auntie Colleen did visit me last week.  Auntie Colleen and mommy picked out this very pretty t-shirt.  Do you like it?  

I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I have more teeth now.  Mommy says I have 7 teeth!  I think that's really good, right?  Well, except the fact that mommy makes me brush my teeth.  I'm not so sure what I think about it.  I guess it's kind of fun chewing on the toothbrush.

But, mommy actually brushes my teeth!

Well, even though I've been doing a lot of things on my own.  I still enjoy being mommy's baby girl.  Ahhh, I'm sleepy now.  See you next week.

Aug 1 - 7, 2011

Hi everyone!!  Do you like my cup?  It has my name on it so I don't get it confused with all the other sippy cups in the world.  Actually, mommy and daddy are impressed that I'm holding and drinking my sippy cup by myself.  I still spill it all over the place when I just want to play, but I can pretty much drink from it if I want to.

But, when I spill it on my table, I'm very responsible and clean it up for mommy and daddy.  

See?  I'm such a good girl!

I didn't do too much this week.  I did find the stairs.  It was quite interesting, but I don't really know what to make of it yet.  I see mommy and daddy go up the stairs, but I'm not sure how they do it.  I think I'll have to keep watching them and I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out.

On Saturday, mommy had some friends pay us a visit.  It was Mr. James and Ms. Stephanie with JJ and Erin.  I had a lot of fun playing with Erin.  I like her long hair and glasses.

JJ is Erin's brother.  He was very nice to me, too.  He kept pushing the ball to me.

On Sunday, Uncle Eric and Auntie Colleen came to see me.  I showed Uncle Eric that I knew how to hold my bottle now.  I still need help if the bottle is heavy.

We went to Babies R Us and Uncle Eric pulled down a toy for me to play with.  I had a lot of fun playing in the toy.  Can you tell?

Well, that's it.  I did make mommy a little sad.  I sat in the shopping cart all by myself.  Mommy thinks I'm growing up too fast.  It's ok, mommy.  I'm still your baby girl.
