Sept 20 - 26, 2010

Hi everyone!  What an exciting week it has been!  This week, I got to meet more people.  I don't think I can keep track of everyone, but I think that's why mommy and daddy have all these pictures.

During the week, my Great Auntie Leona and Uncle Paul came by for a visit.  They've been so busy, but I finally got to meet them.

Look at this!!  My first diamond jewelry!!  Daddy said I'm such a typical girl.  I'm already smiling when there are diamonds near by.  I can't wait to wear this when I'm older.  Thank you Great Auntie Leona and Uncle Paul!!

Last week, I had my first "bath" or wipe down.  But, this week, since my "unbelievable" cord dried up and fell off, mommy, daddy, and ma ma decided to give me a real bath.

And, like last time, I'm NOT enjoying it one bit.

The real fun came this weekend when my Auntie Sabrina and Uncle Ryan came down.  Auntie Sabrina is Auntie Nathalie's sister.  So, I call Auntie Sabrina my "dai goo je."  Also, I finally met my cousin, Elliot.  He turned 8 months old this weekend and is so much bigger than me!!

Mommy, why are you holding Elliot and not me?

Oh, that's right.  I was sleeping on Uncle Ryan.

Look at the two dads!  I think they're really happy with us.  Hey Elliot, why are you grabbing my foot?

Oh, I see.  Your foot IS bigger than mine.

This is my dai goo je!  She's so pretty.  I can't stop staring.  My eyes are almost as big as hers.

Uncle Eric and Auntie Colleen visited again this week.  Elliot and I thought it was a good idea to prepare them for absolute bliss!!  They look like pros!!

While Uncle Ryan was here, he helped daddy put together a swing set I got from Great Auntie Chris and Auntie Lisa Whelan.  I absolutely love it.  Oh, mommy and daddy love it, too.  They say it totally calms me down.  I don't know why they would say that.  I'm always calm.  Thank you Great Auntie Chris and Auntie Lisa!!

That's it for this week.  I'm going to bed now.  Bye.

Week 1: Sept 14 - Sept 19, 2010

Hi everyone!  That's right, another post from little me.  I plan on posting every week, so please come back.

This week was somewhat busy for me.  I had my first doctor's visit and the doctor said I had gained back all my birth weight.  Yeah for me!  I love feeding!!  Usually, I look quite content after I feed.

Most of the time, I go right into food coma.

Another first, I found my fingers this week.  I always try sticking both my hands into my mouth.  I don't understand why I can't get both of them in at the same time.

But, on this occasion, I found two fingers and I was quite pleased.

On a "not-so" happy note, I also had my first bath.  Well, it wasn't really a bath, but a wipe down.  Mommy and daddy said they can't get my belly button wet because I have some cord that needs to dry out and fall off.  I think they called it an "unbelievable" cord.  That makes sense, I am unbelievable!

Definitely not enjoying this moment.

But, look at the curls in my hair!!

I also had more guests this weekend.  My ma ma and yea yea came back down and they brought my Auntie Nathalie with her.  She's my "sie goo je."

Great Auntie Susanna and Uncle Richard also came by to see me.
You should have seen the big camera Great Uncle Richard brought.  I felt like a movie star.  Daddy tells me that Great Uncle Richard will post his pictures soon.  I can't wait to see them.

I also met my Uncle Eric and Auntie Colleen.

Uncle Eric was quite nervous carrying me, but I opened my eyes for him so he felt really special.

I also met my Uncle Calvin.  He was nervous, too, but I think he got used to carrying me.

I had so much fun with all my uncles and aunties.  I promise the next time you visit, I'll be more awake.

Finally, I read my first magazine this week with my "yea yea."  Daddy says this is an important magazine and he was very happy that Grandpa Cheng was reading it to me.  Hmmm, could "yea yea" be planning this in my future?

Ok, that's it for this week.  I will hopefully be posting again next week.  It all depends on my extremely busy schedule.  But, I will leave you with a picture of me and mommy.

She kisses me like this all the time!

Hello world, I'm Alyssa! Sept 9 - Sept 13, 2010

Hi everyone.  My name is Alyssa Sien-Yuen Cheng.  I was born on Sept 9, 2010 and weighed 6 lbs, 15 oz and 18.5 inches long.  My older cousin, Elliot, sent me a telepathic message telling me that starting a blog is the sign of the times, so that's what I'm doing now.  Obviously, that's me above in my birthday suit, not looking too happy.  I was much happier in my mommy's tummy.

But, once I came out, I got to see my pretty mommy.  That's her giving me my first kiss.  People already tell me that I look like her.  My eyes are big like hers and I have her mouth.

My daddy kissed me next.  I have his nose and hair color.  He tells me that I already have more hair than he does.

Grandma and Pops Watson were there also.  I think they're very happy to see me.

When I finally came home from the hospital, I had some guests waiting to meet me for the first time.

This is my Uncle Dan and Auntie Katie.  Uncle Dan has never seen newborn poopie, so I made sure I showed him while he was here.  Don't worry, there's no picture of that.

This is my Uncle Mike.  He came down with Auntie Katie and Uncle Dan to see me.

This is Grandma Cheng.  I call her "ma ma."  That's how you
say grandma in Cantonese if the grandma is on the dad's side.

This is Grandpa Cheng.  I call him "yea yea."  That's grandpa in Cantonese if grandpa is on dad's side.

Finally, here's me with my grandparents and my uncles and aunties.  I think they love me.

Well, that was my weekend.  Oh, this is what I love to do with my daddy.  I think he loves it, too.

See you next time!!
